The FUT (Follicular Unit Transplant) Hair Transplant
The FUT hair transplant procedure, also know as the strip procedure, is a relatively old hair transplantation technique where a patient's hair is transplanted in naturally occurring groups of 1 to 4 hairs, called follicular units. It is performed by removing a strip of tissue from the donor area which is sutured leaving a linear scar on the scalp. The grafts on the skin taken from this area are then separated and implanted into the hairless area.
HairExpert does not perform the FUT/Strip procedure due to the formation of permanent scarred tissues on the donor area and other possible side effects.
